New White Oak Stair railings and posts
The newels were installed and bolted into the floor using the "half lap" method. The lowest newel was dropped into the crawl space and bolted to the adjacent floor joist to make it extra rigid. The new posts are solid, stable and secure.

Railing was unstable. Pony wall made the hallway dark. Newels and balusters were dated looking.

Wall removed. New Railing with custom stained white oak newel posts and aprons, Hemlock balusters painted white.
